Want.wish.need.
I want
I wish
I need
But perhaps not in that particular order .
For you see a
desire can start out as a simple wish-
just some free-lance thought floating around your head,
mostly minding its own business, right?
Harmless.
But the more you let it stay in your head, the more it grows. You feed it with this energy
And then it becomes a want.
Do you act upon it or let it stay the same?
Again you're giving it life; this want starts to slowly take over your mind.
The worst part?
Yo
Once upon a time a little girl learned about wishes.
She had been lying in the sun, wearing her brand new red dress. Pure white stockings lined her legs, looking as if they were begging to be stained. The grass, which matched her eyes, made for a comfy bed, as the sun a warm blanket. With the sky as open as her mind, what more could a lovely day need? For most of the time, the girl had been simply staring upwards, catching a few airplanes she mistook for birds. It was only until recently that something much closer to Earth caught her eye. Floating happily in the air was a seed. The girl had never seen seeds fly. In fact, the only time she ha

The Chain of Inheritance
And that's just how life is
Full of guesswork and assumptions
With yesterday's illusions still leftover in our heads..
And night becomes the dawn
For our dreams begin to wake
Our eyes reflect the nothingness that hides behind the fake
.
The truths are burned from lies that fuel the spirits of our past
Yet still we find it comfortable to sit on broken glass
A rut of chaos streams our lungs-
Contaminates our bodies
But maybe once we'll want to heal..
That's when we all say "sorry."
.
But that's just how life is
Stealing people for our thoughts
Mistaking all our pain for original ideas
And the windows turn to walls
For no more
Just Accept the Misery by Tears--of--Innocence, literature
Literature
Just Accept the Misery
Time and space move 'round our heads
Cutting up these roses red
Do fallen petals, left and torn -
Feel much worse than sharpened thorns?
Hear the chords strike twelve again
Here I am alone again
Dust and feathers fill my heart -
Such beauty when we fall apart
Of master keys and hidden clocks
There's only one that ticks the tock.
Yet now I sit, a tattered bomb
Who's count has long reached bitter calm
Oh, Love of mine
I hope you know
The great expanse of time Ill go
Just to wait and hold your hand
Just to walk you through the sand
The sweethearts ocean beckons me
Yet here I stand alone
Staring back at you in hope
A need for me will show
Oh, Love of mine
Its true you see
My hearts been set on you
Ever since you said my name
And grinned true eyes of blue
Your voice has been my melody
Such a sweet, unearthly sound
If only you would sing to me
Those words my heart does pound
Oh, Love of mine
The days move on
But time for me stands still
As I sit upon my window sill
And count those wishing stars

The Truth Is... by Tears--of--Innocence, literature

The Truth Is...
If I were to open up my mind and just
Let the words float away...
Do you know what theyd say?
Would you understand each sentence
And comprehend each phrase or
Would you just look away?
In all honesty,
I honestly
Dont know
Im lost in my own contemptuous head.
Sincerity, these days, is hard to find
And I dont know if I have time
To stop and really think of what anybody really means to me
Or if what I already assume is just the fake or
A part of the real.
Cant you see how confusing this is?
And you wonder why sometimes Im at loss for words.
Im clueless and blinded by what
Just moments before the whole world filled with screams
And the stars weakened out as they showed their last gleam
The sun's not to be found as it's hidden away
Locked up in a prison, assumed to decay
Blood's spilled in the rivers, the oceans, and lakes
From any creation those sly killers hate
No wind, no air, or a small breath of life
Just bodies and ashes with blood sharpened scythes
A thick, wicked current now swells through the air
Their victory fires start up with a flare
Proclaiming all power throughout time and space
While others still flee and dare not show their face

View the World
You can say you see the world
As a vast and cruel location.
And that Earth would go on fine
If we people werent here.
You can say that men are animals
Or that women act like whores.
Its just drugs, sex and money
Weve been blackened to the core.
But then there are the others
Who say to see the beauty.
Theyll stop and stare and take a breath
They know its all worth living.
And then theres me.
Me and my abstract point of view.
I wont pick on either side,
For both are right and wrong.
I wont judge the Earth alone
On what Ive only seen or heard.
Our outlook is so l

We Never Change
Don't you hear me when I'm calling?
Can't you see me anymore?
Guess I might as well be dead,
I've no bruises yet I'm torn.
There's no marks of black and blue,
And yet, when I think of you-
My arms and legs will weaken...
Such a brutal mental beating.
Yet there's something so familiar...
Like I'm welcoming the pain.
No, I can't say I enjoy it...
Though it's a recurring stain.
Is it possible I could've known,
Right when you asked my name?
That even though I sensed a trap,
I still fell in your game?
Well then give me a medal,
A round of applause.
For I've finally discovered,
We don't change after all.
You'll forever be a char
